🌲 Make a Weekend of It
The best part about August in the Catskills is that you don't have to choose just one thing.
Start your Saturday morning at a farmers market. Spend the afternoon swimming, hiking, kayaking, or exploring one of Sullivan County's charming towns. Grab dinner somewhere local, head out for live music or a show, and then return to your own private Catskills retreat.
Or keep it simple.
Spend the day doing absolutely nothing.
Float on the lake. Fire up the grill. Gather around the fire pit. Watch the sunset. Stay up too late talking.
Because sometimes the best part of a Catskills getaway isn't the event you planned—it's everything that happens in between.
August Is Calling
From bagels in Monticello and fairgrounds in Grahamsville to live music at Bethel Woods, theater in Forestburgh, markets in Callicoon and Barryville, and unexpected adventures around every corner, August is one of the best months to experience Sullivan County.
So pack your weekend bag, gather your favorite people, and make a little room for adventure.
We'll save you a seat in the Catskills.
Stay with Casskell Stays and make your August getaway one to remember.
Event dates, times, admission prices, and schedules are subject to change. We recommend checking the official event website before heading out, especially for weather-related updates or ticket availability.
