When we asked Heather to pick a favorite menu item, she laughed.

“This is actually a really hard one, because we have different items in the case weekly!” she said. “But last week we had a delectable Nutella-stuffed chocolate sugar cookie that was heavenly!!”

From cookies stuffed with dreamy fillings to beautifully frosted cupcakes and buttery pastries, Heather’s creations are as comforting as they are creative — and always made with love.

What makes Cuppie Cake Desserts truly special is the story behind it. Heather, the sole face behind the business, chose to open her storefront in Jeffersonville for a deeply personal reason.

“I chose Jeffersonville because it is my hometown. It’s been a dream to have a storefront here for years — even before we were Cuppie Cakes,” she shared. “Coming back to my hometown and seeing friendly faces I grew up with just has such a warm feeling behind it.”

That sense of warmth and community is at the core of everything Heather does.

“My favorite thing about the vibe in Jeffersonville is how much it feels like home,” she said. “Not only are we local, having grown up in Jeff, but everyone that comes in is so friendly! We also aim to make everyone feel like they're friends walking in!”

More Than a Business — It’s a Way of Life

Despite the demands of running a bustling bake shop, Heather still makes time for her family and enjoys the simple pleasures that come with life in Sullivan County.

“I don't typically get a ‘day off,’” she admitted with a smile, “but when I do get a few hours of down time, you can find me going for rides on our side-by-side with my hubby and kiddos — or having a little bonfire with s’mores!”

And when it comes to her current soundtrack while whipping up sweet treats?

“I’m pretty obsessed with ‘Blue Strips’ by Jesse Murph, and also ‘I Know Love’ by Tate McRae!”
